EFTerminal is the fastest Windows component for processing real-time Credit Card and Check Card Transactions over the Internet. Transactions are not passed through a gateway, they are submitted directly to NOVA; thereby providing the quickest response times in the industry. EFTerminal provides instant e-commerce capabilities to web-sites or client-server applications. EFTerminal submits transactions directly to NOVA Information Systems. EFTerminal encrypts credit card and personal information and eliminates third party processing fees. EFTerminal was designed for Microsoft Windows 9x, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. EFTerminal uses a proprietary, encrypted, TCP/IP-based protocol and an RSA encryption algorithm for session key exchange (512 or 1024) bits, and RC4 for data (40 or 128 bits) encryption. Implementation & Operation The following is an example credit-card process using EFTerminal. Click on an area of the flowchart to discover more. Step 1: Website, Client-Server or Desktop Application EFTerminal is integrated in the Website, Client-Server or Desktop Application. This application captures Credit Card Account Information and Transaction Amounts. This information is passed to EFTerminal. Step 2: EFTerminal EFTerminal accepts the Transaction Data from the application. This information is directed over a secure Internet connection to NOVA. EFTerminal receives an Authorization Response from NOVA within seconds and relays it to the application. Step 3: The Internet The Internet is the transport medium for all EFTerminal operations. Data transfers are encrypted, making it impossible for unauthorized parties to intercept sensitive information. EFTerminal is based on industry standard, open protocols and uses strong encryption. Step 4: NOVA Information Systems EFTerminal submits all transactions to NOVA Information Systems. EFTechnologies is a Merchant Service Provider for NOVA. This relationship permits EFTechnologies to register merchants for Credit Card processing. Step 5: Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover NOVA forwards all transactions to the appropriate processing centers. Once the credit card is processed, funds are deposited in merchant's bank account.
